I founded Madison Eats Food Tours in 2012, after spending years trying to create my ideal job which combines my passion for great food, travel, teaching, dancing, and sustainable development. What emerged is a business connecting people with local food and culture through food tours, cooking classes, and culinary vacation. I bust a move whenever possible.

Through my travels, I learned that we are all connected by food; we share meals and a basic need to eat. Since moving to Madison in 1998 to pursue degrees in conservation biology and dance at UW-Madison, I developed my appreciation for the richness of our local food community, and a great desire to share it with others. What started as a personal food blog titled A World of Flavors, has since grown into a Madison Eats Food Tours, a company that focuses on supporting local farmers, producers, chefs and food lovers throughout the world via fun and engaging events.

I look forward to sharing many culinary adventures with you!

The name of my business, Power of Three Yoga, grew out of the strength I find in my connection to my sisters. When teaching yoga, I strive to raise my students' awareness of the importance of acknowledging, building and honoring our connection to others as well as to ourselves.   My Master's Degree is in Continuing Adult Education.  I have worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, previously teaching weight training for women and aerobic dance.   My yoga practice began 23 years ago and I have been teaching yoga since 2009.  My 200 hour teacher training certification was completed through the Olive Tree Yoga Foundation.  I have also completed Journey into Power, Level 1, with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, and in 2016 I became certified to teach Unnata Aerial Yoga. I recently retired from dance having studied and performed with the West African dance company, WADOMA, for 13 years.  Dance and yoga allows you to express and release tension, emotions, and thoughts that can disrupt clear thinking and actions; they keep us on the path to our greatest potential.
